Basic Knife Skills

Healthy cooking requires a basic knowledge of the knife! Learning to use a sharp knife properly and safely is imperative for ease in the kitchen. You will cut your prep time in half once you master knife techniques for chopping, dicing, slicing and mincing. We will not bore you with the basics as we put the skills to work using a variety of beautiful local and organic produce (when available in season). We'll turn these whole veggies into delicious dishes that you can show off in your own kitchen along with your new skills!

PCRM Diabetes Initiative Week 1: How Foods Fight Diabetes

Diabetes is a major public health problem of epidemic proportions. The Food Evolution is excited to host this 8-week event intended to reach audiences including individuals with diabetes, pre-diabetes, a family history or risk factors for developing diabetes, and their adult family members. Additionally, this program is designed for health care professionals to introduce the basics of plant-based nutrition for preventing and treating diabetes. Come and discover ways to take a Type 2 Diabetes diagnosis into your own hands and get on the road to feeling better than ever!  Let thy food be thy medicine!

This 90-minute program will be hosted for the next eight weeks on Wednesday evenings and it will be broken up into a two-series program, sold in packages of four classes. To support you in your commitment to turning your life around and if you pay in full by September 25th, we'll give you $50 off your total expense for the eight classes!
