4 Nutrition and Cooking Workshop Options Length: 1 hour each

1) Eating for Optimal Health–

Have you ever felt like you have brain fog? Eating foods that don’t make you feel so great – even create bloating and digestive issues for you or someone in your family? If you are overwhelmed and confused about what to eat that is good your health, then join us and get answers to all these nutrition questions and more. You will gain a better understanding of how the power of food can improve your health and happiness. We will have a cooking demo and learn how to make a quick “Quinoa with Sautéed Vegetables” as well as share ideas for incorporating many other health supportive foods into our daily routine!

2) Sensational Smoothie Workshop – Boosting Brain Health!

Smoothies are all the rage and for good reason. When created with the right ingredients they are both heart healthy and cancer fighting. The phytonutrients, fiber, and vitamins in these greens will keep you buzzing with youthful energy! If you are looking for ways to get your daily recommended dose of greens into your routine we have a great option for you. Protein Fruit Smoothies also serve as a fantastic drink for busy people on the run. We will go over different protein and superfood powders, discussing the benefits as well. Come taste a green smoothie and a fruit smoothie option that will help you stay focused and boost your brain health for sure!

3) Supporting Your Immune System!

Heart Healthy Lentils Taking those extra steps to support our immune system is one of the keys to good health! After all, your immune system is your greatest protector. Lentils are a popular legume celebrated throughout the world for their high nutritional value. They boast heart healthy fiber, protein, and iron, and are a fantastic addition for those looking to feel great. Come learn about what this means and the steps you can take to keep you and the ones you love feeling strong and happy! This family friendly food group works well for easy weeknight dinners that translate to healthy lunch leftovers! Come join us as we make a Seasoned Lentil and Walnut Salad over Arugula you are sure to love.

4) Beating the Sugar Blues – Decadent Chocolate Desserts

Let’s face it, most of us are addicted to sugar and with good reason, so much of it is used in the foods we consume on a daily basis. The roller coaster ride of sugar addiction is not fun and we know can lead to cancer, diabetes, and a host of other issues including fatigue, irritability, and brain fog. Come learn how you can deconstruct these cravings and figure out alternatives to the foods that are getting you down! Not only will you leave this session feeling better but you will have some new tools to change some habits that are getting you down! We will be making raw chocolate brownie bites with a tart cherry and walnut syrup! YUM! Healthy and deliciously decadent!

For all Lunch and Learns – A syllabus provided will include nutrition information, recipes, and a culinary pharmacy of ingredients.

Food for sampling will be made ahead of time when necessary in addition to demo food requirements.

Let’s Talk About Food: Group Nutrition Education and Support

4 Week Series – 1 hour Classes – Includes 1 Private 45 minute phone session per participant Maximum 12 people

Week 1: Defining Healthy Whole Foods – What is a whole food and how we can incorporate more of them into our daily routine. Meeting you where you are! What are you eating now and how to make some shifts towards healthier options.

Week 2: Greens – The most missing component in today’s Standard American Diet. Why greens are so important and ways to successfully incorporate them into your daily routine.

Week 3: Grains – We will talk about issues surrounding wheat, and gluten intolerance, which many people face. You will be introduced to lesser known grains such as Quinoa and Millet – amazing grains packed with great nutrition!

Week 4: Real Foods, Superfoods We have all heard the terms – now let’s talk about what they are and how they work to increase optimal health and energy! From simple sauté’s to roasted root veggies, using herbs and spices to as immune boosters into the diet can be easy when we know how. They will assist you with mental clarity and the ability to increase job performance too!

Week 1: Crudités Platter with Homemade Hummus Dip (bring prepared)

Week 2: Raw Kale Salad with Avocado (bring prepared)

Week 3: Mediterranean Quinoa Salad (bring prepared)

Week 4: Green Smoothies (prepared on site)
