They are a major source of energy and also provide us with Calcium, a lesser known fact about this superfood group. They also provide vitamin C, two times the daily serving in fact! Vitamin C provides resistance against infection, which is vital during cold and flu season when our immune systems may be at their lowest. In fact, dark leafy greens also provide the nutrients to build a strong immune system and keeping that system strong can help you fight off the invasion all together.
